We’ve got one of the most underrated resources that we do not utilize much for good- the internet. It has stacks of amazing articles, journals, videos, pages, blogs, and everything that you might need to get your grasp on various disciplines of academics. Here we talk about the sciences and physics, in particular. Despite having all the resources laid freely out there, students find it difficult to filter them. It’s important that you know what websites to look into and what publications to follow and what channels you need to refer to strengthen your understanding of things. I get a lot of messages regarding this thing and so I keep writing about it in my Twitter threads and articles.

I have written multiple stories about the best books and lectures that you can refer to for understanding various concepts of physics. You can read the story about the best physics lectures here:

and about the best physics and mathematics books here:

However, I always recommend beginners to start off with YouTube and there are a couple of reasons for it. Firstly, videos are great resources when it comes to learning. Statistically speaking, I’ve learned a lot more through videos than I have from attending physical lectures. They are easy and they basically can fit hours of lectures into short videos. In this story, I shall share with you five such YouTube channels that can help you understand various concepts of science. These channels are the ones that I have used and referred to and they have helped me sharpen my understanding to a great extent. I shall divide the entire list into two sections. The first section will include those channels that explain the concepts of physics with great ease with the blend of mathematics. The second section of the list includes those channels that explain physics in the most understandable manner even for people with a non-scientific background.

Channels that are useful for Physics in academics

MIT OpenCourseWare, Physics
International Centre for theoretical physics
Stanford Physics Lectures
The academic lesson videos
Physics Lectures by Walter Lewin

Channels that are useful for general understanding of complex concepts of Physics

PBS Space Time, Physics Videos
Closer to Truth
The Institue of Art and Ideas
QuantaMagazine Videos
Fermilab Physics

Best physics channels on YouTube

There are many other channels that provide with you an understanding of subtle physics and mathematics concepts. These aforementioned are the ones that helped me a lot and that I use a lot when it comes to learning something new in physics or to sharpen my understanding of physics concepts. It’s really important that we become able to filter out all the laid out information and choose our resources wisely. The resources you choose impact your understanding of things. The best thing about these resources is that you don’t have to pay anything for them. They all are freely available to anyone and everyone. If you have some other channels in mind that can be helpful in this regard, please do not forget to mention them in the responses.

Thank you so much for reading. If you liked this story don’t forget to press that clap icon. If you like my works and want to support me then you can become a medium member by using this link or buy me a coffee ☕️. Keep following for more such stories.
